We played VCC1 on Saturday and unfortunately we lost to a great team.We knew it was going to be a challenging game but we were going to give our best.
ACC lost the toss and we were asked to bat first!
We batted well…….

Sean made 7 and I managed 6,being bowled out on a great ball.Unfortunately Sean was run out.Jim made a massive 24 and Otis did well with 16.Sam and Noah were out for a duck,however Noah got a second chance and made a great 17 runs with a massive 6.Luc and Zain contributed 1 and 2 runs respectively……This took our team’s total to 128,assisited by 55 extras.

 

It was VCC’s now.They got 132 runs with more than 5 overs to go! Jim was our  most economical bowler of the day as he bowled 2 overs conceding 15 runs.

But it was not really a bowler’s game.The batting by VCC was terrific.4 of their players had to retire and the last 2 went to the pavilion not out……

Fielding could have been much better as we could have easily stopped many fours and we had a few opportunities to catch the best batsmen out but they were very difficult ones.Sam played well as wicket keeper. In my opinion Jim was man of the match as he got 24 runs and conceded only 15 runs of 2 overs.

Sorry Sam,I could’nt get hold of a picture of yours!!!! to get a complete team.

Next match, we will give it our best and win.
