Graeme released from hospital - Anton's update
A lot of Club members have asked for a quick update on Graeme again, so here it is.
Graeme was thankfully released on Wednesday morning after spending 4 nights in the VU. I must say that, if they decided to keep him any longer, my "operation kidnap Graeme" plan would have to put into action. Thankfully though they didn't and thus no high speed chases down the A9 were needed.
I had spoken personally to the Doctor and he has not yet cleared Graeme to fly. I don't think we realise how delicate the situation is. But you know how it is with us sportsman, being told to lie down and do nothing, is like telling a champion race horse to go and walk around in the garden and eat grass...very frustrating indeed.
One thing that Graeme has asked me to say is that the food at home is way better than at the hospital, and that he is happy to be out.
From my side, thank you all once again for the concern and care that you have shown, it helped a lot. Thanks to Steven for helping out with a lift home for Graeme on that rainy day. To the VU, the nurses there were incredible making Graeme feel at home and for allowing me to visit whatever time, really special people.
Moving forward, Graeme has one more check up with the Doctors on the 1st of September and will then hopefully get cleared to fly on the 3rd or 4th. It will be nice to have Graeme next to the field for the final, but as you can all imagine, the man wants to head off back home as soon as possible.
