Like last time, we decided to start the match at 11:30. Both teams were ready and up for the challenge. We bowled and fielded well, although the openingpair of bowlers could have been better, and restricted them to a decent total on a batting pitch. Especially Farhan, he bowled really well and is such fine spinner and got rid of their main batsman. Cross-batting a spinner is not something to do very often.  He mostly did the scoring, was dropped a few times and scored even more. It happens.

We started batting well, scoring good runs by JW and Paul untill a Paul's wickets fell. Sajid did his best to stay in but was given run-out.
Then Farhan and Zeddy tried to bring back stability without losing their wickets.
Eventually, the required run-rate went high and almost out of reach. When Farhan fell, things started to look very grim.
Skill of ACC3 is that we are able to produce a late-order recovery, in the likes of Guy, Alex and Abid with a winning result in the end.
But today this wasn't the case and we couldn't manage to convert it into a win.
Not even Zeeshan's six turned the game our ways.
 
Missing out two good batsman in the squad, does put pressure anyways, so nothing to blame to ourselves.
Fortunately, we were able to see each others capabilities on a certain spot. This will make it easier for the next time if we'll have a similar squad.
 
Just like last time, VVV are a good buch of lads which we enjoy playing against. I think, being just a few minutes walk away, the distance also helps.
We enjoyed our post-match drinks and will meet atleast a few of them in the upcoming Twenty/20 thursday the 25th of June.
