ACC 5 vs Quiv Vive 7
Having elected to bowl first, ACC’s pace attack set the tone from the outset. Ayaansh, one of the club’s promising youth players, made an immediate impact by striking with the new ball and bowling with excellent control during his opening spell.
From the other end, the experienced Nagesh used his accuracy and movement to claim two crucial wickets, breaking partnerships just as Qui Vive looked to build momentum. Pradeep once again demonstrated why he has been one of ACC’s most reliable bowlers this season, producing an outstanding spell of 8 overs, 2 wickets for just 26 runs, making scoring difficult throughout the middle overs.
Matthew capped off an excellent all-round performance by picking up two important wickets of his own, removing key batters and ensuring Qui Vive never managed to launch a decisive late assault. Mikhail also made an important breakthrough with a disciplined spell, while Vaibhav and Saurabh chipped in with useful overs to keep the pressure on from both ends.
Behind the stumps, Hamza enjoyed an outstanding day, taking several sharp catches and keeping flawlessly throughout the innings. Fellow youth player Daniyal added an excellent catch in the field, while the rest of the side backed the bowlers brilliantly with energetic fielding, cutting off boundaries and saving valuable runs throughout the innings.
ACC 5 – 213/2 (38 overs)
Chasing 209, captain Bobby once again led from the front with a magnificent unbeaten 114, batting through the innings with patience, composure and authority. His century provided the perfect platform and ensured ACC remained in control of the chase from start to finish.
Suresh gave ACC a positive start before Matthew continued his impressive day with a composed 32, rotating the strike well and building a crucial partnership with Bobby that put the hosts firmly in command.
With the target in sight, Saurabh joined his captain and remained unbeaten on 24, calmly helping guide ACC over the line. The unbeaten partnership between Bobby and Saurabh ensured there were no late nerves as ACC completed the chase with eight wickets in hand and two overs to spare.
This was another true team performance from ACC 5. The squad reflected the diversity that makes the club special, blending the experience and leadership of Bobby and Nagesh with the enthusiasm of promising youth players Ayaansh and Daniyal. Combined with important contributions from every player across batting, bowling and fielding, ACC delivered a complete performance in one of the most significant matches of the season. The victory keeps ACC 5 firmly in control of the title race and highlights the depth, unity and character within the squad.
