ACC 5 won the toss and elected to bowl first on a lively wicket that offered plenty of bounce and movement for the seamers.
ACC 5’s pace attack made full use of the conditions from the very first over. Ammar and Nagesh produced a devastating opening spell, dismantling the top order and removing four wickets within the first 7 overs. Rood en Wit 3 found themselves in deep trouble at 17/4.
The pressure continued as Pardeep Singh and Amanpreet took over. Bowling disciplined lines and lengths, the duo delivered a miserly 10-over spell, conceding just 22 runs while claiming one wicket each, ensuring the opposition never found any momentum.
In the middle overs, the spinners took control. Vaibhav and Mikhail bowled beautifully, maintaining the pressure and picking up one wicket apiece. They were well supported by Saurabh and Suresh, who bowled exceptionally tight spells and never allowed the batters to settle. Saurabh also contributed with a sharp run-out, while Vaibhav pulled off a brilliant catch in the field.
The fielding effort was outstanding throughout the innings, with Matthew, Mikhail, and Saurabh standing out as ACC 5’s gun fielders of the day.
To wrap things up, Pardeep Singh claimed the final wicket as Rood en Wit 3 were bowled out for 100 runs.
ACC 5 Chase – 101 to Win
The chase was not entirely straightforward as the opposition bowlers came hard at the ACC 5 batters with a barrage of short-pitched deliveries aimed at the body.
Openers Bobby and Suresh faced the challenge bravely, but Bobby was dismissed early for 2 off 12 balls, caught behind, leaving ACC 5 at 27/1.
From there, Matthew and Suresh steadied the innings with a match-defining partnership of 53 runs. Matthew played a composed knock of 33 off 51 balls, while Suresh anchored the chase brilliantly with 40 off 46 balls.
With victory in sight, Hamza and Saurabh calmly finished the job, remaining unbeaten on 6 and 3 respectively, guiding ACC 5 to a comfortable win.
