ACC 5 produced a dominant all-round performance at home against Rood en Wit 3, securing a convincing 99-run victory. After posting an imposing 331/7 from 40 overs, ACC’s bowlers backed it up with an excellent effort to restrict the visitors to 232/9, completing a comprehensive team win.
ACC 5 – 331/7 (40 overs)
ACC’s batting innings was built around several excellent contributions. Suresh led the way with a superb 56 off just 35 balls, striking the ball cleanly and providing the innings with early momentum.
Matthew then produced an outstanding 86 off 85 balls, combining controlled strokeplay with excellent running between the wickets. Saurabh matched him beautifully with a fluent 71 off 53 balls, and the partnership between the two was one of the highlights of the innings. Their ability to consistently turn ones into twos and keep the scoreboard moving put enormous pressure on the Rood en Wit bowlers.
Zubi provided a spectacular finish with 40 off just 22 balls, including two fours and a six, lifting the total beyond 330 with a brilliant late-innings assault. He was helped by Daniyal with stealing the runs. Just perfect.
Bobby contributed 12 at the top, while Hamza added a quick 7 and Daniyal made a useful 16. Aryaan Farooq remained unbeaten on 1 as ACC finished on 331/7, setting an imposing target.
Rood en Wit 3 – 232/9 (40 overs)
Defending such a big total, ACC’s pace attack once again set the tone.
Nagesh bowled an excellent opening spell, conceding just 36 runs from his 8 overs and keeping the pressure on the opposition’s top order. Pradeep was outstanding, claiming 3 wickets in his 8-over spell and repeatedly breaking partnerships whenever Rood en Wit threatened to build momentum.
Matthew completed an excellent all-round performance by following his 86 with 2 wickets for 40 runs from 8 overs. His contribution with both bat and ball was crucial to the result.
Aryaan Farooq bowled a tidy spell, while Basir also chipped in with a wicket. Saurabh was particularly impressive, bowling 2 overs for just 2 runs and taking a wicket, while Daniyal added 2 wickets from his 2 overs. Zubi also contributed with the ball, completing a useful spell as ACC kept wickets falling throughout the innings.
The Rood en Wit chase never truly gained enough momentum, with ACC’s bowlers maintaining control and the fielding unit supporting them well. The visitors eventually finished on 232/9, leaving ACC with a commanding 99-run victory.
It was a complete team performance from ACC 5, with Suresh, Matthew, Saurabh and Zubi leading the way with the bat, while Nagesh, Pradeep and Matthew spearheaded an excellent pace-bowling effort. Contributions from throughout the squad ensured ACC were in control in all three departments and finished the day with another emphatic home victory.
