ACC 5 wins thrilling final game of the season

[by Saurabh] ACC5 began the season’s final match with the ball and immediately set the tone with a fiery opening spell from Ammar and Kalyan. Their discipline with the new ball earned quick breakthroughs, putting Qui Vive 7 on the back foot early. The pressure was maintained through the spin duo of Saurabh and Amitesh, who bowled with control and created chances in the middle overs, gnabbing 4 quick wickets. While Qui Vive showed resistance in patches and capitalised on a few dropped opportunities, ACC’s fielders also pulled off some sharp catches to keep the contest alive. Bobby & Nagesh's experience were immensely important to uplift the team's spirit, when we felt momentum was slipping. Thier constant advice and leadership, ensured the team ended stuck to a plan and ended on a strong note. In the end, Qui Vive battled hard to post 227, a competitive score given the pressure of the occasion.

Chasing 228, ACC’s innings started shakily with three early wickets, leaving the team under pressure. That was when Kalyan rose to the occasion with a brilliant 85, supported superbly by Tomar’s fluent 48. Amitesh had a crucial role to play, his 43 run knock and a steady partnership with Kalyan, turned the game in ACC's favor bigtime. As the game tightened again in the closing stages, Shah and Ammar held their nerve with vital contributions in the death overs, keeping the chase alive until the very last ball. In a finish worthy of the season finale, ACC clinched victory by one wicket off the final delivery — a thrilling contest that had everything: fiery bowling, resilient batting, sharp fielding, dropped and stunning catches, and above all, the fighting spirit of both sides.

It was the perfect finish to a mixed season for ACC 5, where the team’s spirit and resilience shone through — a sign that we are steadily coming together as a well-oiled machine ready for bigger challenges ahead.
