Dear Parents and youth members,
The cracking finish to a wonderful season of youth cricket is as always our beloved Boys & Girls day starting on Friday September 7th. An event where the kids (and parents if interested) can sleep over in tents on our own cricket field (there will be plenty of supervisors) and enjoy the activities involved, such as the grand TIP & RUN final for the younger kids and NUMBERS final for the older kids on the first eve (list of averages will be updated shortly on the website) and many other games like the CRICKETLYMPICS up until Saturday afternoon September 8th. An absolute must for every youth cricketer (and parent). Spread the word!
This year we would like to celebrate all the patient parents by introducing three new events for young and old:
- Mothers and Fathers Tip and Run: the kids get to bowl at the parents who are happy to join (competition cricket players will bat with their wrong hand blindfolded and shoelaces tied).
- Mothers and Fathers Desert: Jade and José will organize dinner and breakfast, yet after dinner we invite all parents to put their finest culinary talents on display by letting us enjoy their homemade desserts/ toetjes that will be laid on an open buffet.
- Mothers and Fathers Art Show: During the evening and morning we challenge any parent and child to take part in the art of making ‘creative counters’ and ‘bright bowling markers’.
The costs are €20 per person which includes dinner and breakfast the next morning (lemonade for kids included, adults can order drinks at the bar). Please let us know if you're interested in participating, if you and/or your child are sleeping over (not required) and how many persons will join (whole family welcome). Please note that sleeping over is not compulsory and if you would like to join the activities only that's fine as well, although not as much fun of course :) Hope to see all of you! No is not an option!

Beste Ouders en kinderen,
Met veel trots en plezier kondigen we weer de Boys & Girls Day 2018 aan voor de jeugdleden van ACC.
Deze knallende, jaarlijkse afsluiting van het seizoen voor de jeugd zal plaatsvinden op ACC op vrijdag en zaterdag 7/8 september.
Ook dit jaar zijn er weer sportieve en feestelijke activiteiten voor de jongere en oudere jeugd gepland, inclusief het beroemde cricket (tenten)kamp. Vast onderdeel van het evenement is ook het uitreiking van een aantal leuke prijzen.
Dit jaar willen we graag alle geduldige ouders vieren met drie nieuwe onderdelen voor jong en oud:
- Mothers and Fathers Tip and Run: de kinderen kunnen eindelijk een keer op de ouders bowlen in plaats van andersom
- Mothers and Fathers Desert: Jade and José regelen het diner en ontbijt, maar we nodigen de ouders uit om iets mee te nemen voor een home-made toetje buffet :)
- Mothers and Fathers Art Show: Wie maakt de mooiste “counters” of “bowling markers”
De kosten bedragen € 20 per persoon, inclusief diner en ontbijt de volgende ochtend. Laat het me zo snel mogelijk weten als je interesse hebt om deel te nemen, als jij en / of je kind blijven slapen. Houd er rekening mee dat overnachten niet verplicht is en als u graag meedoet met de activiteiten, is ook dat prima, hoewel niet zo leuk. Ik hoop jullie allemaal te zien! Nee is geen optie!
