After losing to Kampong a fortnight ago, the ACC Zami had a Bye last weekend and welcomed HilversumCC who we played the first game of our season with Baljot making 201* retired out. This time around Baljot was not playing with us as he was playing for the 1st team at the T20 Topklasse, funny how things can go J. After losing the toss, we were sent in to field. Missing bowlers like Irfan, Gavin and Zuby! We had to tap from another vaatje, Nagesh & Wim showed their brilliance with the bowl and confirmed how important experience is! Some good fielding resulted in 3 run outs! After 35 overs Hilversum posted a good total of 185 for 9.
After a good long nice lunch the job to open the innings was for Mushaf and Yousaf with Arsalan and Abu coming in at 3 and 4. The task for the first 10 was not to lose any wickets and try to get 4 an over, after 10 overs we had 58 runs with no wickets lost, next task was to get 100 in 20 and still not lose a wicket, in order to step on the gas in the last 15 overs to get the 86 runs to win. After 15,1 Musaf fell after being caught very well at long on and his good patient innings came to end with 14 runs. In comes Arsalan and together with Yousaf they showed some good shots and running and at one stage we were on 66 runs needed in 66 balls, 2 overs after that, 31 runs in 54 balls J. Great batting and very well finished by both batters with Yousaf 64 in 89 balls and Arsalan 52 in 50 balls, we reached the total in 29,4 overs with 9 wickets in hand! Also Kampong losing 2 matches in 2 weeks suddenly changes allot in our league now we are back on top!
Next Saturday we play VVV at home on field 3, this is a away game but VVV has no field available so we are able to play at home together with the 1st team t20 topklasse and the 2nd team playing against VVV as wel!
