ACC 5 put in a commanding batting display, posting an imposing 314/4 — a total that was always going to be a mountain to climb.
Captain *Bobby Murtaza* set the tone with a blazing 72 off just 52 balls (SR: 138), giving ACC 5 a flying start and laying the platform at the top. The real anchor of the innings, however, was *Matthew Fernandes*, who played a magnificent unbeaten 116 off 104 balls — a masterclass in pacing an innings and finishing strong. His century formed the backbone of the entire total.
*Saurabh Venkatesh* then shifted gears with a punishing 57 off 41 balls, providing the acceleration in the middle-to-late overs. And in what was a memorable occasion, *Jaideep Pyla* marked his debut with a confident 21* off 18, chipping in with crucial runs at the death as ACC 5 crossed 300.
## Bowling: VRA 8 — 146/9 (40 overs)
VRA 8 never got going with the bat, as ACC 5's bowlers maintained consistent pressure throughout.
*Nagesh Danturti*, the experienced campaigner, set the perfect tone — removing VRA's opener with the very first ball of the second innings. Early wickets put VRA immediately on the back foot.
*Ayansh Sehgal*, the U-17 youngster, was outstanding — bowling a full 7-over spell and claiming 2 wickets, showing maturity well beyond his age and keeping the run rate in check.
*Amanpreet Bakshi* came on as first change and made an instant impact, taking 2 wickets in his first over to leave VRA reeling at 4 down. A decisive burst that effectively ended the chase.
In the 19th over, a fierce direct-hit *run-out by Matthew Fernandes* sent back A Tripathi — a moment of brilliance in the field that put VRA five down and killed any lingering hope of a recovery.
*Suresh Balachandran* and *Zuby Rashid* bowled tidy, disciplined spells in the middle overs, sharing a wicket between them and ensuring VRA could never build any momentum.
*Vaibhav Naukudkar* returned to round off the innings with another wicket, and Saurabh completed a run-out to wrap things up neatly.
VRA 8 were eventually bowled out for 146/9, handing ACC 5 a resounding *168-run victory*.
