Nog even en het cricketseizoen barst los! In voorbereiding op de seizoensstart wordt op dit moment een aanzet gegeven tot de teamsamenstelling. Het doel is om een evenwichtige samenstelling van de teams te krijgen waarbij iedere speler het beste uit zichzelf naar boven kan halen en actief betrokken is in de sport.
De eerste stap is indeling op basis van leeftijd. Voor seizoen 2023 gelden de volgende leeftijdsgrenzen (bron KNCB):
• U17: geboren na 1 september 2005
• U15: geboren na 1 september 2007
• U13: geboren na 1 september 2009
• U11: geboren na 1 september 2011
• U9: geboren na 1 september 2013
Het kan zijn spelers op basis van hun vaardigheden, motivatie en/of drive beter op hun plaats zijn in een ander team dan op basis van hun leeftijd is aangewezen. Daarom gebruikt de Technische Commissie de eerste twee trainingsweken - tussen half en eind april - om te beoordelen of de teamindeling op basis van leeftijd inderdaad juist is, of dat spelers toch beter naar een ander team worden overgeplaatst. Eind april worden de definitieve teams vastgesteld en bekendgemaakt.
De Technische Commissie 2023 bestaat uit Richard Wolfe, Jan Balk en Abel Heymeijer. Vragen betreffende de teamindeling kunnen vanaf half april aan de TC worden gesteld.

Policy team composition youth 2023
Just a little while and the cricket season will start! In preparation for the start of the season, a start is being made on the team composition. The goal is to get a balanced composition of the teams where every player can bring out the best in themselves and is actively involved in the sport.
The first step is classification based on age. The following age limits apply to the 2023 season (source KNCB):
• U17: born after September 1, 2005
• U15: born after September 1, 2007
• U13: born after September 1, 2009
• U11: born after September 1, 2011
• U9: born after September 1, 2013
Players may be better placed in another team based on their skills, motivation and/or drive than indicated on the basis of their age. That is why the Technical Committee uses the first two weeks of training - between mid and late April - to assess whether the team classification based on age is indeed correct, or whether players should be transferred to another team. The final teams will be determined and announced at the end of April.
The Technical Committee 2023 consists of Richard Wolfe, Jan Balk and Abel Heymeijer. Questions regarding the team classification can be submitted to the TC from mid-April.
