Last weekend at ACC (May 6)

After ACC1 kicked off in April, the majority of lower teams have now also started their competitions. Here a round over the fields of last weekend.

ACC 3 114
Quick Hg 2 247/9

ACC 3 must have missed its captain Mudi in the season opener. Despite a good score by Gagan (48) and stand-in Hari (29) altogether not a match for Hilversum’s Caroline Lange and Sumeet Diwan (4 wickets each). 3 wickets for Lalit, but not enough….

Hilversum 2 207ao
ACC 5 178ao

Bobby Murtaza’s men opened against Hilversum, but could not turn it into a win. Notable scores of Kalyan (48), Amitesh (25) and Basir (23), 3 wickets for Pulkit, and 2 wickets each for Nagesh, Ammar and again Basir.

ACC 6 273/5
VRA 7 246/8

The maiden game of the new ACC 6 team captained by Avnish Chaudhary, sadly on a bit lonely Sunday. Nevertheless, a resounding win over VRA, with a spectacular century by Jayant (101) and a great score for Piyush (80). VRA’s century in response was not sufficient. Fielding credits: 4 wickets by Vijay, 2 for Maninder.

A strange game with the temperature dropping some 10 degrees during the day. Highlights 1 st inning: the ACC bowling attack being scored as J, W, M, T, J and G; the 108 from Bloemendaal’s Mridul, finally bowled by J, the loopies from T, and the hattrick by the young God M, who will likely not stop talking about it the rest of the season. Batting highlights ACC: Jan Balk 58 and Guy Pathak 44. Sadly, too late, as Bloemendaal deservedly won.
